We’re all fighting for our rights now more then ever. As we riot in the streets home and abroad, travel has become even more difficult and it’s importance harder to define.
It’s by no coincidence that the new Counter Culture museum is opening in San Francisco, fueled by the lives of the Beat Poets who championed freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and freedom to just be, a welcomed message we all need to hear right now.
So as we travel spirits gear up for U.S. Travel Association IPW in Chicago, sharing this poignant piece I did with Justin Jamieson of get lost Travel Magazine about San Francisco through the poetic glazed eye of Jack Kerouac cuts real deep.
Note: as AI takes over most content on social media and is telling you what is “best”, it has become my sole purpose to share experiences with real perspective, not just destinations and places eating and drinking. These are personal stories, hand crafted through a life full of failure, lost loves, and blissful ignorance that no AI would have the disturbed bandwidth to ever attempt to recreate. Lemme know if the film strikes a never, and definitely read the full, human created experience here: https://emag.getlostmagazine.com/get-lost-magazine-digital-issue-20/usa
And oh… if you see Eva Toussaint … tell her hello for me.
