Book Bound in Human Flesh.

Anthropedermic Bibliopegy. Yeah. It has an actual term when you bind a book in human flesh, because, well, it’s that common I guess? What is a leather bound book? Cowpedermic Bibliopegy? That sounds stupid.

In anycase there is one hidden, sorta, inside a very unique library in Boston called the Athenæum. It is actually the oldest library in the United States and an absolute delight to visit with unique exhibits, beautiful art, and sprawling hallways. It’s also got some of the best doors we’ve ever seen.

The MIT museum in Cambridge. So cool.

One of the coolest, lesser known museums is the MIT museum located in a very hip section of Cambridge. It’s the home of some very cool exhibits, that mix social, tech and science in unique and unexpected ways. Definitely worth a check out and their gift shop is second to none. Afterwards hit up Roxy’s for gourmet grilled cheese, or duck into their speakeasy barcade behind the fridge doors.

Boston’s Trinity Church.

Boston’s Trinity Church is a stunning house of worship that anyone can enjoy. Tucked away off the busy streets of downtown, this stone and stained glass monument is laden with amazing woodwork, murals, and mosaics. Founded in 1777 and built in 1877 this Church is a quick stop that will leave a lasting impression … it’s also featured in Boondock Saints and Fallout 4 so if you are any kind of film/video game nerd like us, its a special treat.

Boston’s Lawn on the D.

Lawn on the D … despite a perhaps unfortunate name, is a rather cool place to spend the afternoon or evening where you can choose your own drink and food adventure with other Boston locals and tourists alike. There are beer halls, food stands, games and light up swings to keep even the most needy friends entertained, and when the weather is nice like it is now, there is nothing better.

Check out the other Boston spots we’re covering this week, and down forget to like and subscribe! Travel on!

Boston with an infrared video camera.

We love to travel and gain new perspectives… we were fortunate enough to get a new visual perspective using a modified Sony RX100 by the amazing folks over at http://www.lifepixel.com – so very cool to see this beautiful American city in such a unique light.

If you want to see some more of what this little powerhouse camera can do check out Serrini’s pics of NYC (https://flic.kr/s/aHskGdsEJk)

WTF museum Boston.

Im not sure WTF this is supposed to be … the Warren Anatomical Museum in the Harvard Library (where the smhat kids are) is perhaps the weirdest if not the most disgusting museum I’ve ever scene… super fascinating with all the gross stuff you love to see (like popping giant pimples) … to0 weird to explain, here is a video.

Boston’s Fenway Park (with Yankee fans)

There aren’t many American coliseums as famous as Fenway Park, home of the Boston Red Sox, which swells with thousands of screaming fans nightly, echoing through the Boston area. The energy here is electric, and besides some of the best baseball you can see, there’s lots to eat, drink, and see at this brick cathedral to America’s favorite pastime. (That’s baseball, not chugging Monster Kyle).

https://www.mlb.com/redsox/ballpark

Fenway Park is a baseball park located in BostonMassachusetts near Kenmore Square. Since 1912, it has been the home for the Boston Red Sox, the city’s American League baseball team, and since 1953, its only Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise. It is the oldest ballpark in MLB.[9] Because of its age and constrained location in Boston’s dense Fenway–Kenmore neighborhood, the park has been renovated or expanded many times, resulting in quirky heterogeneous features including “The Triangle” (below), Pesky’s Pole, and the Green Monsterin left field. It is the fourth-smallest among MLB ballparks by seating capacity, second-smallest by total capacity, and one of eight that cannot accommodate at least 40,000 spectators.

Fenway has hosted the World Series 11 times, with the Red Sox winning six of them and the Boston Braves winning one.[note 1] Besides baseball games it has been the site of many other sporting and cultural events including professional football games for the Boston RedskinsBoston Yanks, and the Boston Patriots; concerts; soccer and hockey games (such as the 2010 NHL Winter Classic); and political and religious campaigns.

April 20, 2012 marked Fenway Park’s centennial.[10] On March 7 of that year, the park was added to the National Register of Historic Places.[11] Former pitcher Bill Lee has called Fenway Park “a shrine“.[12] It is a pending Boston Landmark which will regulate any further changes to the park. Today, the park is considered to be one of the most well-known sports venues in the world.[13]

Best Coffee in Boston? Caffe Vittoria.

Caffeine? Legal cocaine as far as we’re concerned. And where is the purest, early 80’s, Escobar stash still available? Well good ol Cafe Vittoria in Boston’s lively North End aka Little Italy. This place is nothing short of epic, with their museum like interior celebrating celebrities celebrating caffeine in all it purest forms.

And while you can get more cranked then Kyle on a Monster Energy Drink brewery tour (they brew Monster dont they?) dont forget to ride the rainbow, aka do a little gelato tour for which Caffe V’s is also known for.

Brattle Book Shop Boston

Boston is such a cool and unique town, one of the oldest in America with a ton of interesting history, and the Brattle Bookshop is definitely not to be missed if you are looking for something unique, historic, and truly Boston.

Owned by the Gloss family and opened in 1825, the Brattle Bookshop has an impressive collection of over a quarter million books, prints, maps, and literary oddities. What we found so fantastic is that it’s tucked away in this positively ancient alley in Cornhill that transports you back in town.

We got a chance to talk with Ken the owner who has a very unique story about one of the greatest, if not most mysterious, American authors to ever live. Check it out.
