I am a hound for Penne Alla Vodka, going so far to making a little documentary about it called “Disco Sauce: The True Story of Penne Alla Vodka“, which incidentally will be playing in Manhattan at the Cinema Village, May 20th at 2pm for the Big Apple Film Festival.

But lovely little article surfaced this morning from the fine fold over at Epicurious entitled “The Vodka Sauce has left the Pasta”. Writer Jess Eng goes into the fascinating history behind this crazy sauce, and how vodka even got in there in the first place. Definitely a good quick read, and then yeah, check out the film;)
