Another win today as Commercial Director Roberto Serrini takes home another Platinum MarCom Award for his comedic TVC for Cannondale.

This was a particularly special project for me given its unconventional genesis. The team over at No Frames had already shot and started to finalize post on this epic spot that was filmed on multiple continents in some of the most beautiful locations in the world. At some point the creative team at Cannondale had changed and the decision was made that the project was to be scrapped. Having worked so hard already on it, and not wanting all this beautiful footage to go to waste, I quickly wrote up a little comedic script and pulled JM Jacob in from across the hall to lay down a little scratch VO. The rest, well, was history.

The spot has been a festival favorite and has been making the rounds for a while now, quietly picking up best comedic spot at award ceremonies like LAIFFA, New Haven, 52 Film Fest, Berlin International Film Festival, and now, a Marcom award for excellence in Advertising.

I would like to thank all the folks at Cannondale for letting me see this spot through to completion, the folks over at The Lab that secured the account for us, and of course my amazing producer Erin Judd over at No Frames whose brilliance brought this spot to life. And to think it was just gonna be shelved and never even exist. Would have been tragic.
